What Is a Certified Service Animal?

A certified assistance dog (also referred to as a vision, hearing, or service dog) is trained to perform specific physical tasks that support a person with a disability. These animals are granted public access rights under Australian law.
Please note: Therapy dogs are not considered assistance dogs under legislation and therefore do not have the same public access rights as guide or service dogs.
